Wherever there is a human in need, there is an opportunity for kindness & to make a difference.

More than anything else, we need connection and kindness. Often we are trapped in our heads, thinking of our problems, and behave as the world spins around us. What if you change the way you see problems and look at them as opportunities to get better?
Something doesn’t go my way. What can I learn?
Do you know what’s the fastest way to relieve yourself from pain?
Begin to focus on the ways how you can help people around you. Get out of your own head and pay more attention to people around you. Try to seek the little acts of kindness around you. Take a step and contribute in your way as well.
Let me share a little story from the covid times.
It was a great opportunity to see people’s character and their creative approach to the problems we were facing.
So. One day during the lockdown, I cycled to the local post office near Faro. I was bored waiting, so I looked around and scanned all the announcements regarding the COVID-19 restrictions. One paper suddenly caught my attention. It was handwritten.

It said: “Dear neighbour, I’m here for you. I would be very happy to help you, so you can safely stay at home. I’m offering my service to do your groceries or to go to the pharmacy.”
Together with the message, there was the name of the person and her phone number. Adding a little note: “Today, it’s me. Tomorrow it could be you.”
Reading this made me smile because those simple acts can change the world when multiplied by millions.
And the best above all is that we don’t have to be rich to be able to give. A simple smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring has the potential to turn a life around.

If you look back to those past weeks, would you have any wonderful story or situation when you noticed kindness around you that you could share with me? 🙂
