This story wanted to come through as I sat in flow at the Algarve Tech Hub Summit.

May it remind you of the power of following intuition — even when the steps don’t make sense. Often, they lead us exactly where we’re meant to be.

Following intuition — especially when your mind shouts, “This makes no sense…” — has been a recurring lesson for me lately.

Just like coming to the Algarve Tech Hub Summit as a non-tech person, while my mind was worried: “Our bank account needs some flow, not only spending…”

Or back in August 2024, after quitting my job, when my intuition nudged me to compete in surf, joining the Czech & Slovak Surf Cup in Caparica — a decision that cost a few hundred euros.

In February, I had almost no work and was living off my savings, yet my intuition whispered: “Fly to Morocco and join another surf round.”

I had just received some money back from someone who owed me — and again, it said: “Go and enjoy it! Book the flights!”

Then in June, I was called to take a road trip I had always dreamed of: drive to the south of France for the last round of the surf competition. As a surf coach, taking this much time off felt “impractical” — summer is when you work hard to live from it later in the winter.

Why not take a few days later to fly to Austria and join a van trip with friends? My mind thought this was insane. Yet my heart really wanted it. I was breaking old programming about how life “should” be — exploring new territory.

All my mind could do was watch the numbers go down and try to control it.

Meanwhile, my heart was flourishing, enjoying the free ride and flow every time I listened to it.

Here I am, the second day of the Algarve Tech Hub Summit. Everyone has gone for lunch, and I’m just flowing with inspiration. I feel an absolute certainty that I’m right where I need to be. Again.

That’s a feeling I’ve been experiencing a lot lately.

Feeling the drive and inspiration from everyone in the room, I’m reminded that I already have everything I need within me — and that I can make this happen.

During the last coffee break, someone challenged me: “How is your project any different from the horseback riding therapies my wife does?”

It stung a little, but I felt grateful. It helped me gain clarity and revealed another piece of the bigger picture that wants to be manifested through me.

It reminded me that this path is about trust and faith. Somehow, the bills have always been paid. Unexpected opportunities show up right when I need them.

But more than anything, it’s about freedom — freedom to build my work and mission around my life, instead of squeezing my life into what’s left after work. I’m free, fully in control of where my energy and time go.

What if your heart project just needs one step that makes no sense — but will get you started?

Listen carefully. It knows the way.

We just need to trust it and flow with it. I believe this is a new way of building success: not through hustle, but through alignment.
